My mother, Wilma Norris Knight, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 103, and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her strength, her faith, and the love she gave so freely. Born in Wilson, Oklahoma, in 1921, she lived through the Great Depression, overcame incredible hardships, and raised me and my brothers as a single mother with a courage that still amazes me.
She was more than just a mom — she was a warrior, a teacher, and the heart of our family. Her unwavering faith guided her every step and carried our family through the darkest of times. I often say that everything I am, I owe to her. I will forever remember her as my hero, my biggest supporter, and the woman who shaped my life with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love.
